Emily Kauwe, MD
Psychiatrist
“I help you feel understood, supported, and empowered as you build a life grounded in clarity, balance, and emotional wellbeing.”
I’m here to help you make sense of your experiences—and move toward a more fulfilling, steady way of living.
Many patients come to me feeling unheard, rushed, or reduced to a checklist of symptoms. My approach is intentionally different. I take time to understand your story—your background, your values, your strengths, and the challenges that brought you here. Healing begins with feeling genuinely seen, and effective care honors the whole person rather than forcing you into narrow diagnostic labels.
I practice psychiatry with humility, curiosity, and respect. Together, we’ll use a holistic, individualized approach that blends evidence-based medication management with therapy and realistic lifestyle support. My goal is to help you build insight, expand your emotional capacity, and take steady, sustainable steps toward a life that feels aligned with who you want to be.
TRAINING & EDUCATION
With training in both biological psychiatry and evidence-based psychotherapy, I bring an integrative and holistic approach to mental health care. My background includes advanced work in therapy modalities, whole-person wellness, and compassion-centered treatment. I’ve trained in academic medical centers known for excellence, with a focus on combining medication management, therapy, and meaningful lifestyle support to help patients move toward sustainable wellbeing.
